Omegafriends Background:
There was once a world of magic and monsters. Well, there's many of them, but this is one of them. There was a young mage, who was given a young fox as a familiar when she turned 10.

This fox is our character, a young girl familiar called Velasquez. The mage was called Lasasa Leth Bacileus, and she was a princess who wished to be able to protect herself. But, instead, Princess Lasasa grew to see Velasquez as a little sister. She taught her how to read and write, and even speak English! When she turned 16, however, the kingdom was attacked and destroyed by the Gods of this world.

The Princess left with Velasquez, to fight these gods herself. During this quest, they found many spells, many which Lasasa couldn't use, even with her familiar. With her powers, though, she managed to get to the place where the Gods slept.

And she was controlled by them, becoming but a puppet. Before she was fully lost, Velasquez was forced to kill her, so the Gods couldn't use her to control more people. After this, Velasquez was filled with powers - and decided to use one of the spells in the book, to see if it could help.

Instead, she woke up in Venture City, looking like Lasasa did - and with dull memories of her home land. She remembers that kindness of her mage owner/sister, though - and, so, became a hero to bring that kindness - no matter what the cost to herself. She began by learning how the world worked - watching from the edges. But when the Omegafriends opened up, Velasquez became a member, and started to do some heroics, using magic she had from her only book left from her old world.

Sometimes, though, she looks to the skies and wonders... will Lasasa ever return? She couldn't have just abandoned her.

Personality: The first thing you might notice about Velasquez, other then the fact she's probably got his head in a book, is that she's not the sort to wear his emotions on his sleeve. In fact, it will take quite a bit to get a huge reaction out of her. This isn't just because she's a fox-turned-girl, however. Velasquez just isn't good with people. She's better with animals, ones who can't talk back harshly. Her timidness extends to battle, and to the world around him. When not out helping with her fate as an Omegafriend, Velasquez can be found either in the base or in whatever counts for a library - or writing her diary, which she keeps up to date with whatever she sees or feels in the world. It's a beautiful tome of adventure, which Velas would guard with her life, and would panic if it were ever lost.

She also doesn't like thinking of his past, thinking of anything bad. This may be because of the partial amnesia she suffers from due to the world travel, but she just tries to shut out anybody who'd try to learn of it. To be honest? She's afraid his backstory, as he'd put it, was like the sort she'd read in fantasy novels. If she finds out about it, she's quite terrified it'll end up badly. This extends to other people - she's afraid that they'll find out something not even she knows about herself.

If you manage to get though her shy and scared exterior, though - you'll find a rather sly woman. Sure, she really is a quiet, timid guy. But behind that, she has learned many of the things which happen in this city, and how people work. When she was younger, she needed this in order to find food without her summoner. But now, she uses this to try and manipulate fate. Even if she feels fate is set in stone, at least she might be able to find something she can change.

But just because she's a manipulator, Velasquez isn't a bad person. She is honest and kind, to a fault. Even if she distrusts people over animals, she can't fathom hurting people for no good reason. She also prefers letting his Spirit Animals fight over getting himself into battle. If she could choose, she would let her spirit foxes just help the world and heal them. But no. There's always the forces of darkness to fight, and people to teach.

Powers: Velasquez has the power to summon elements of herself as little foxes, each of them with the same markings as her. These foxes each have different powers, and make her weaker if they are forcefully unsummoned.

RED: When the Red Fox touches you, it will burn. It is basically a fire fox. (No word on if it enjoys the internet.)

ORANGE: This one, the Orange Fox, is basically really heavy. Where it falls, the earth will shake. Or knock somebody down to the ground, if it falls on them.

GREEN: Green creates flowers where it walks - however, some flowers can be poisonous and poison anybody who steps on them.

BLUE: The tail of the Blue Fox is actually made of water, and can either create a rainstorm, or can simply turn into a puddle and take Velasquez with it.

VIOLET: The Violet Fox heals with every touch and nuzzle, at the cost of actually injuring Velasquez the same as the injuries taken away. Lucky for Velasquez, these injuries heal quicker then even normal Saturday Morning Cartoon injuries. But if she does this to somebody on the verge of death? Yeah, it'll be a shock.

She can also shapeshift back into a fox - the Yellow (or Topaz) Fox. She often does this just to rest and live, because who doesn't like pats? When she's like this, she can still speak English.

Sample:
[Velasquez is giving a warm smile, as the network post begins. She's in her normal pillow fort, in the Omegafriend base. So she's also in her fox form, curled up around her diary. A few broken pencils are around her, and she takes a few moments before she begins starting.]

Have you heard this before? It is a quote I overheard from a singer.

My legs grow tired, tell us where must we wander. How can we carry on if redemption's beyond us?

[A pause, as she sighs. Is redemption beyond her? She wasn't able to help Lasasa.]

I have pondered these words a-a while. What is redemption, to those of this world? In my world, there would be a journey, where somebody learned what being a hero meant to them, and conquered a large beast - a dragon, or even a God. But in this world, it seems alignments rarely change. Darkness is darkness, and light is light. It's simpler, true. But it is a little sad - those who oppose the Omegafriends could help us create a world of hope for everybody. Wouldn't that be kind?

[A pause, as she gives a flick of her tail, a little yelp to end her sentence, and she turned the page of her diary. Was she reading from it, or...? With a frown, she paused for... a whole minute.

And then her eyes widen, and her fur stands on end.]

...Ah. Yes. I... um. I had a reason for this... yes! You see, I recently was browsing the internet, and...

Whoever put that video of me playing on that trampoline - that was only meant for a few eyes, for the Omegafriends, as a favor. I-I don't like seeing all those people accusing me of having rabies... I looked into them, and that would be a horrible fate.

[That would be rather bad, wouldn't it? She gives another twitch of her tail, and the feed ends.

But outside of the network post? She's continued to write into her diary, burrowing more into her pillow fort. Hopefully they notice her before taking a pillow!]

Notes: She is loosely based on my FFXIV main character! :D

She is one of those silly heroes who lives in the Omegabase, though she keeps herself fox most of the time down there. After all, secrets are fun!

All the foxes look like this, except the different colours.

She is nicknamed 'Velas' by friends.
